Along with Sunset Boulevard, this is one of the all time great classics which dares to take a look behind the curtain of Hollywood. The script is sharp and quick and provides a glaring look at the spotlight of fame. Bette Davis gives, in my opinion, her greatest performance here,...( read more) and to say that about an actress who turned out a great performance every time is quite something. The supporting cast works well with Davis and the direction is really good. One of the greatest film to ever come out of Hollywood.

In all the years that I have watched movies, is there a more tighter, well-written, sophisticated

    Abosolutely NOT!

The likes of Ben Stiller and the Farrelly brothers need to watch this before they make another one of their terrible comedies.
