His mind increasingly prone to fantasy as he celebrates his fortieth birthday, an accountant in the midst of a mid-life crisis finds his daydreams becoming more of a problem than a momentary escape. On the surface, many would consider Richard Harrison a lucky man; he's got a good job, an attractive wife and two rambunctious but healthy teenage children. Somewhere deep inside, however, Richard can't help but feeling as if he's trapped, and that his life could have been infinitely more exciting. Upon opening up about his problems to his psychologist Sara, the dejected, overweight accountant gradually comes to realize that his issues originated during a family trip to the amusement park to celebrate his fortieth birthday. It was there at the amusement park that Richard's thoughts began to drift back to his youthful relationship with a beautiful blonde. Now, whether Richard is fantasizing about singing in an Aerosmith cover band or body-slamming opponents in the wrestling ring, he begins to realize that this mysterious beauty from the past is the common thread that runs through all of his wild flights of fancy. If Richard could just learn to let go of the past, he may find the strength to appreciate what he has, and finally solve the conundrum of his mid-life meltdown. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
