Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Without the rom-com requisites of charm, chemistry, comedy and character, this doesn't even meet low expectations."
‑ Geoff Andrew, Time Out
"A movie where love means diarrhea."
‑ Charles Taylor,
"Talented actors in dumb film with gross sex humor."
‑ Nell Minow, Common Sense Media
"The humor of this romantic comedy is sometimes laugh-out-loud funny but too often dips into the toilet tank for sprinkles of relief when the love story veers from inspired to moronic."
‑ Mark Halverson, Sacramento News & Review
"The story is stale, but the execution is above average."
‑ Bill Clark, FromTheBalcony
"Like the rest of today's alleged comedies that are never funny, this one pretends to be hip, but lacks every semblance of intelligence and depends on the basest common instincts in the kindergarten I.Q. for laughs."
‑ Rex Reed, New York Observer
"I ... laughed myself sick."
‑ Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post
"For a movie with a theme of living life without deferring to fear of the risks involved, the filmmakers don't take chances in breaking the mold of run-of-the-mill romantic comedies."
‑ Cole Smithey,
"Between them, young love and bacteria bloom. Between us, bacteria consumes the movie."
‑ Christopher Smith, Bangor Daily News (Maine)
"Inane, inorganic and predictable from the start."
‑ Nick Schager, Lessons of Darkness
"One of those films that celebrate spontaneity and risk-taking yet are so formulaic and un-risky that they strangle their own message."
‑ David Edelstein, Slate
"Firmly ensconced among the forgettables in Stiller's career."
‑ Ann Hornaday, Washington Post
"The script just doesn't have enough comic moments to fill its 90-minute running time."
‑ Jamie Russell, Film4
"This entire movie proved to me that it's never too early to start the race for next year's Golden Razzies."
‑ Peter Lowry, Film Threat
"Le film est prévisible, conventionnel et on connaît les dénouements bien avant qu'ils ne surviennent."
‑ Louis-Jérôme Cloutier, Panorama
