    Was more good than it was bad. The "twists" in the story were pretty expected, however the acting wasn't too bad. Whe knew JT could look so scuzzy.

    This one of those films that I swerved as I doubted that it would be any good with Willis and Timberlake. At the moment I'm stuck in a holiday home with only 4 channels and BBC showed it. I like it when a film suprises me, and this did just that. This awful story is about loyalty...( read more), I hoped that people would come to their senses the further the film progressed. There are some amazing performances, particularly Ben Foster, who's unhinged performance as Tattoo was worth watching just for him.

    I always thought Justin Timberlake was just a pretty boy who could only sing (in a high pitched vioce) and dance (like a wanna be Michael Jackson). But i take all that back Justin did a great job in this film. But enough about him this film was great and the acting was phenominal...( read more). Although it is sad what happened at least the family got justice.

    Alpha Dog is based on the true story about the biggest drug dealer named Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch) who ends up kidnapping a 15 year old boy (Anton Yelchin) to show one of his crime buddies named Jake Masursky (Ben Foster) that he means business when it comes to money. Johnny...( read more) doesn't realize how much trouble he's getting hisself in but he's willing to go the extra mile to doing whatever it takes to settle the score. A good friend of Johnny's (Justin Timberlake) was also involved with the kidnapping. Together, they must figure out a way to come clean before the whole world comes down on them.

    Alpha Dog was a very good crime/drama that he me on the edge all the way through. This film sends a message telling us that we all mistakes in life but their are some that we can't fix. This film makes you wonder what you would do if you were the one who kindnapped someone by making a point. I was amazed how much I enjoyed it. Its extremely entertaining as it provides great performances by the cast. There were some who I was really impressed with like Justin Timberlake. I thought Justin was only mean't for singing but by witmessing him in this, man, we blew me away with his character as he's the one that stole the show for me. Another that was great was the talented Ben Foster. There were some scenes where he went over the top but he pretty much did his thing. I thought Ben was good how he was willing to get his brother back. Ben also had a mouth on him in here. I'm sure that comes with all good performances in an r-rated film. Ben succeeded with his part that he was surprisingly made for. It was good to see a Bruce Willis as he portrayed Johnny's father doing everything in his power to help his son out from making his big mstake. Sharon Stone also played small part as the 15 year old boy's worrying mother. There were no doubts about her part. I already knew Sharon would do well just like she does in any other. Alpha Dog is also very sad film that will make you hurt inside full of emotion. I love storys that are based on true life. It's interesting to know what really happened in our life time. There are some things that you need to be warned about seeing this film. One of them is drug use as theirs alot of that going on here. Second, is sexual material that might not be suitable for all viewers. Lastly, is the nonstop pervasive language that was way over the top with the f-word. Overall, if your into exciting true storys dealing with crime that heartfelt full of fine performances then this one is for you. Alpha Dog is an unforgettable breathtaking crime/gangster drama that will have you entertained packed full of punches.

    After fantastic romantic tale "The Notebook" directed by Nick Cassavetes, I decided to check out his next project. The film is OK. The plot is acceptable and the acting too. The moral is clear. That's all I asked for, and it was shown properly, at least for my taste.

    Quite alot of well known actors in this with great performances all round. The film started off slow, but once the character development got into full swing, this movie had me engrossed in the story.     Good, not great. I thought Ben Foster was fantastic and I was positively surprised by Justin Timberlake... Maybe there'll be an actor made of him too one day.

    Some good performances, especially from Ben Foster who is psychotic in this film. The film is very violent in places and there is LOT of bad language. According to IMDB this is the fourth film for the highest number of F words. So if you might be offended by that, then i would a...( read more)void this film. The language was annoying at first, but i got used to and realised it's probably realistic for the people that are being portrayed. Justin Timberlake was a no no in my book. I mean he is a singer, not an actor. However after a while i just got used to him and he wasn't completely terrible. However i think they should have cast someone else, like maybe Shia LaBeouf for Timberlake's role.

    A very good film based on true events, as a group of young wannabe gangsters take things too far. A great performance from all of the young assembled cast. A lot better than you would expect from such young actors. Well worth checking out.

    This was a movie I didn't expect to like and started watching only because of who was in it. I ended up loving it.
    This movie is just entertaining to the max.
    It's also surprising and heartbreaking.

    When I found out this was true, it was damn hard to believe. Fun at first but chilling and terrible at the end. Some of the editing effects are distracting, but not overly so. Ben Foster shines.

    A tough movie to like based on the life of drug dealer Jesse James of LA (Emile Hirsch) but it does feature some impressive acting performances from Emile Hirsch, Anton Yelchin, and Ben Foster who is absolutely crazy as the strung out brother of the missing Yelchin who just rips...( read more) through the city looking for Yelchin. And Justin Timberlake is surprisingly good as one of Emile's boys. Disturbing and intense...all the more so since it's based on a true story.

    A good but sad story with great performances all around make this movie! Ben Foster can do no wrong! I only had a couple of problems with this film, it left me with some unanswered questions but they're only minor things. This was a good film though.

    The story line is not that interesting. It's just watchable, because it's a true story. The acting wasn't bad, but the script had a "fuck" in every line. Ha ha ha.
