  I love revisiting movies I haven't seen in years, as it's like a whole new experience. I have forgotten so much about this movie, but remembered enough to have an old friend feeling when watching. Picks up the summer after their first year of college and they guys, along with Stifler, get a lake house to have one big huge Summer end party. All sorts of hijinks, raunchy sexcapades, and fantastic heartfelt humor fill this sequel. Not quite as good as the first, but still much better than most sequels, and probably better than it should be. All the performances are perfect, especially Stifler(Sean William Scott), Finch(Eddie Kaye Thomas), and Jim(Jason Biggs). Those three really shine above everyone else. Side note, didn't realize I use some quotes from this movie all the time and I had completely forgotten they came from here("Here's an idea, I'll get you a spoon so you can eat my a**"..Bob outta like that). Great movie, full of laughs, and an absolute must for anyone who likes the first, or just like to laugh in general.

  More of the same with one difference: they are college men now - like it matters. It follows the same formula but the gags are more stupid than funny, looking like a cheap rehash and with very little to make us laugh like the first movie.

  I felt that the sequel to American Pie is a sequel that failed to capture the elements that made the first one good. Sure, some of its here, but the ideas expressed on-screen felt recycled and uninspired. I did laugh a few times, and yes, the film does entertain, but as a whole it doesn't have the originality that the first film had. The first will always be the best. American Pie 2 has some decent enough gags and good, entertaining moments, but as a whole, it doesn't have the same impact that the first one did. The first American Pie was very memorable, and lots of fun. The cast are trying to do something funny, and it does work some of the time, but as a whole, the film tries too hard to outdo the original film. The result is an average comedy with some laughs, and it leaves you wanting a bit more. Did I hate this film you ask? Not really but I did feel it was weak in terms of a sequel, and it could have been much better. There's some laughs to be had, but most of the material is predictable and the jokes have slightly old. A below average sequel that brings a few laughs, but offers nothing really new to the series. This film is not that bad, but it's not great either. Add to that that it feels dated, and it's a film that hasn't really stood out over the years. Good for at least one view, after that it becomes tiring. American Pie 2 suffers the same faith as many other sequels, they all try to outdo the original, and this one is a valiant attempt, but the first is better.

  "American Pie 2" follows the same beloved cast as they exit their first year of College. They are struggling to find anything interesting to do to celebrate during summer break, as the stumble upon the idea of renting out a lake house to party all day and all night, every day of the summer. The creators certainly took some big risks by having the entire film take place in one house, but it was a risk well taken as the humour is still top-notch, even if it doesn't live up to the originality of it's predecessor. This film has what many comedic sequels fail to achieve, good comedy. I will not say that any portion of this film is great, because, quite frankly it isn't. It is a fun sequel with very well written jokes that are irresistible to any viewer. "American Pie 2" is a worthy sequel, even if it already begins to show the franchises age.

  This sequel to the big hit teen comedy sees the old gang reunite for a summer of fun after their first year of college in hopes of trying to further strengthen their bonds while also trying to get as much action as they can. This one is fun, and it ups the ante where the gross out gags and bawdy content are concerned, but it's overall weaker and not as interesting thanks to a lazy script. There's still some heart and charm, and while they help, they didn't quite save this film from being a typical teen sex comedy with not much else to go on. The gang is back, and their performances are all decent, but the uninspired material doesn't give them much to work with, They try their best though, and you can tell they all have great chemistry with one another. I do like the direction this one takes as far as the individual stories go and how they relate to everything as a whole., but I feel like this movie was mostly an excuse to cash in without really caring as much as it should about the characters and how they deal with "The Next Step". The first one had a solid plot, and all the individual stories within that plot were good. With this one, there's no real excuse for why the gang get together to party for the summer, except to do that for the sake of it. There are continuations of some of the threads from the first, but there could have been a better developed reason for them all to get together. This one has it's moments, but it's nothing special, and I think it's an okay one to skip unless you feel you need to be a completist.

  American Pie 2 is just as good as the original, if not better. The story this time around is the group of friends at a beach house and while they all have their own problems, we want to find out who will our hero Jim Levinston finally ends up with. The plot was actually believe it or not much more interesting from the first movie, mostly because now they have faith in the movie and they weren't afraid to make every moment just a non stop laugh riot. The cast is just as good as last time, and they keep to their classic and fun roles. American Pie 2 is a disgusting, funny, and good movie and I can honestly say i'm proud to be a fan of the series.

I'm glad they got out of the high school stage, but this is not a better movie by any stretch. It's almost like they staged a really dumb way to have a bunch of moronic friends get back together and show lots of nudity and sex. It's incredibly trashy and stupid, but if that's your thing then you should find it to be a goldmine.

  Wasn't quite old enough to see this in the theater, everybody my age was trying to sneak into American Pie and the sequel. Both movies try to be realistic dealing with the attitudes of the typical high school senior or college freshman in Michigan of all places, focusing on the sexual aspect of the male persona. I like the second as much as the first one. Might not be as memorable and doesn't have the Blink 182 cameo but it does have the "superglue myself to myself" scene. Enjoyable comedy.

The gags made up for it and made it a funny movie. Here, we have a stronger story, but some of the gags seem a little "been there, done that" quality to it, so I suppose I like American Pie 2 a little less than the first film. The idea of 4 friends coming back from their freshman year of college, trying to reignite that bond that brought them through high school is a real idea, one that most people who go to college have to deal with. While some of the friends live in the past, others live for the future, and others, just happy to be back together again. The four friends, Jim, Paul, Kevin, and Oz go along with Stifler to a lake house for what is supposed to be a summer of fun and overall debauchery. While there is some fun, the guys tend to find solace things other than their friends, even if it is lesbian neighbors of a painting job they picked up. By the end of the movie, everyone comes to grips with who they are, and who they are supposed to be with, and it is a very profound and satisfying ending. I was surprised how much people have learned by the end of this sequel. The gags are a little repetitive, so the film loses points there, but the overall story is much stronger. A good film about coming of age, but not as funny as the original American Pie.

  First of all, this is (of course) a film for people who want to laugh (mainly at others screwing up). Especially Jim (Jason Biggs) seems to get himself in the most embarrassing situations over and over again. But there are other funny moments too, with the Stifmeister (Sean William Scott), Ozzy (Chris Klein), Kev (Thomas Ian Nicholas) and Finchy (Eddie Kaye Thomas). Mainly the film is about what moves people my age and any other age most, the opposite sex. All that obsessing and wondering about the other (does he / she like me, do I love him / her?) is really greatly portrayed and realistic. Of course the people in the film are all not too shabby looking and there are some sick and perverted moments in the film, but you really have to look at the bigger picture. You have to look past the babes, the booze and the parties. You have to look past that ?every guy's perfect summer' and see that this film is not about sex, it is not about being sexy and cool. This film is about being whoever you are, being true to yourself and your friends, but most of all it is about love. I mean the latter thing may not be true for all characters in the film (e.g. Steve Stifler), but it sure concerns the ?main characters' life (Jimbo's life). The rest of the film is however pure fun and freedom, that any college student hopes to get. I sure hope my first summer of being in college will rock like that
