Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"AN AFFAIR OF LOVE is that rare and much sought-after commodity, -- an adult love story presented with intelligence and craftsmanship."
‑ Ted Murphy, Murphy's Movie Reviews
"Committed performances and a teasing structure give weight to this minor enterprise."
‑ Nick Davis, Nick's Flick Picks
"Baye is left stranded, a performance too strong for a film this slight to contain."
‑ Gary Mairs, culturevulture.net
"It's a modest film but rich with observation and unspoken regret, and the texture of their performances bring it to life."
‑ Sean Axmaker, Seattle Post-Intelligencer
"A refreshingly mature look at sexuality: these are people over 30 enjoying active sex lives and able to intelligently examine their actions and the consequences."
‑ Michael Dequina, TheMovieReport.com
"Offers a multidimensional and richly textured exploration of sexuality."
‑ Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat, Spirituality and Practice
"If the film moved off its experimental mode and let us see the couple without the conditions the ground rules imposed on them, this might have been an even much better film."
‑ Dennis Schwartz, Ozus' World Movie Reviews
"Belgian director Frédéric Fonteyne's second feature is a short but ultimately tedious affair."
‑ Elias Savada, Nitrate Online
"wonderfully mature look at adult relationships"
‑ Brian Gibson, Vue Weekly (Edmonton, Canada)
"What made this movie so wonderful was the little details."
‑ Michael W. Phillips, Jr., Goatdog's Movies
"It's a wonderfully touching film with a big and slightly bittersweet heart."
‑ Steve Rhodes, Internet Reviews
"In a movie that bets the farm on delicate balancing, An Affair of Love comes close but doesn't quite strike the needed equilibriums."
‑ Peter Henne, Film Journal International
