love this movie...how graceful Deborah Kerr was....
It is clear that your fan base is very young. A lot of them find this great movie mushy. I also felt the same way when I first watched An Affair to Remember about 20 years ago. After watching it again recently I just got totally blown away with its beautiful story. The great dial...( read more)
A lovely, classic, romantic drama. Could've cut out some of the parts with the kids--that took up more time than it needed to.
good & very romantic... Cary Grant & Deborah Kerr were fantastic together...
Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant succeded in having a perfect and very funny romantic chemistrybetween each other. The plot was very, very enjoyable, with impossible-not-to-fall-in-love-with characters.
84/100
An average love story, where 2 people meet they then decide after a whirlwind romance to meet in 6 months if they feel the same, only trouble is that she gets involved in a traffic accident en route to meet him! very slow paced and probably made far more famous due to it being th...( read more)
There's a scene in Nora Ephron's "Sleeples in Seattle" when Suzy (Rita Wilson), a friend of Tom Hanks character bursts into tears while watching this movie. So the tribute to be complete, Nora Ephron makes her leading lady (Meg Ryan) and leading man (Tom Hanks) meet for the f...( read more)
It's an affair to remember.
Terry McKay: What makes life so difficult?
Nickie Ferrante: People.
Of course the leads are great, but then again Cary Grant is playing a manwhore engaged to another woman while he is also actively pursuing Deborah Kerr. That's not romantic, it's skeevy. Naturally, their relationship turns out to be "real", and they are in love. Grant's implie...( read more)
This movie is truly one of the biggest tearjerkers of all time...absolutely a spectacular film!
I would like to know who the hell actually likes this film. The praise can't be serious. Here's my summary:
A 53 year old Cary Grant plays a never married or employed philandering douchebag who is engaged to an heiress. He takes a cruise ship to Europe without his fiancee and me...( read more)
One of my favorite romances. Cary Grant preforms splendidly, as always. although it bothers me how orange he looks!
I've seen some of this, and yet I can't imagine it's better than the 1939 version, Love Affair, which probably better deserves to be here. Like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" it seems to be here to cater to the chick-flick contingent.
Funny, witty, Cary Grant is one of the finest actors in sarcasm I've ever seen! :) Good twist but is a predictable story line
started off strongly and gradually got worse... by the time the singing kicks in from the pretty deborah kerr it's time to switch off
One of my all-time favorites. Beautiful, classy... damn, I wish they still made movies like this.
What a great romance movie! The first half was incredible and was almost perfect. Then during the second half it got a little stretched out and the ending wasn't that great. But it was still great. Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr both do terrific jobs in their roles.
I can't stop the tears even though I know it is one of the most sappiest chick flicks ever.
Another Cary Grant classic in this funny and moving love story.
