Awwww
I love this little movie, real life issues in a time of major immigration and through this little story you can really get a feel for the hardships. Plus the one song is just adorable
The first film was better done and a superior film despite critics giving this one better ratings. Don't get me wrong though, this one is still fun and harmless and pretty entertaining. Jimmy Stewart does good voice work as a burnt out sheriff dog as well.
Not quite as heartwarming as the original, this one deals more with courage than family it seems. The big city must have taught Fievel a big lesson, as he is a good deal more brave in this sequel to "An American Tail." The creators obviously wanted this movie to have a different feel than the last one, so they had the Mousekewitz family move to the dry west, along with other mice who so foolishly believe that out in the west, there is no warring between cats and mice. With Jimmy Stewart acting and Dom Deluise making a return, the voice acting is not too shabby. The songs are more lively in this movie and also pretty memorable, so for a sequel, this isn't bad at all. It's just that this movie tends to favor humor rather than heart, unlike its predecessor. Still recommended.
2nd installment of this mouse story by steven spielberg with voices such as john cleese and james stewart in it. also the lass that was doing the singing when fievels sister was singing for the cats. although the animation was dog... excuse the pun, it was funnier than the first one. the first one was a bit more heartfelt but not as good as goes west. only thing goes west missed was tony the mouse from italy!!! if i remember rightly he died in the 1st one. poor tony!
I always watched An American Tale when I was young and i still would to this day. Like the first it is a forgotten classic that never really got the credit it deserved.
cute cute cute story!! ahww.. this is my lil bro's fave movie when he was younger.. ung song na "somewhere out there", fave song nako atong bata pa ko. haha.. :D
cute movie, just not as cute as the original, i feel the extra characters could've been left out, but still all in all i give it 4 stars, fievel is just so cute and courageous. and i think this helps kids and peeps who are a kid @ heart find the strength within.
Some time after the Mousekewitz's have settled in America, they find that they are still having problems with the threat of cats. That makes them eager to try another home out in the west, where they are promised that mice and cats live in peace. Unfortunately, the one making this claim is an oily con artist named Cat R. Waul who is intent on his own sinister plan. Unaware of this, the Mousekewitz's begin their journey west, while their true cat friend, Tiger, follows intent on following his girlfriend gone in the same direction.
Manifest Destiny, Fievel Goes West. This movie is nothing but fun, with one dry spot. I really enjoyed this film when I was a kid and still enjoy it now. With more focus on the character of Tiger, there are plenty of silly and goofy moments that'll make any person smile. Even the disgusting spider gets a few laughs with his overly insane personality. First and foremost, this is a kid/family movie, and should be enjoyed as such. - "Yes, sir, Mr. Burp, sir!"
It was great when I was a kid, and is great still. I think this was better than the original. I had no idea until I was an adult that James Stewart and John Cleese did voices in this movie. It's a classic.
