Critic Reviews

  • Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper

I can analyze this movie in three words: Thumbs Friggin' Down.

  • Bill Muller, Arizona Republic

thin, flat and largely forgettable, as De Niro and Crystal trudge through with all the enthusiasm of John Madden at a salad bar.

  • Peter Howell, Toronto Star

An offer we can most definitely refuse.

  • Bruce Newman, San Jose Mercury News

Where the first movie struck just the right tone, blending anxiety attacks with machine-gun attacks to come up with a comic La Cosa Neurosis, this picture consistently goes too far in all directions.

  • Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle

Audiences who loved Analyze This may have to see the new movie to believe just how empty it is. What they'll find is a profound difference between This and That.

So-so sequel follow up. It has some good jokes and scenes but doesn't quite capture the fun of the first. Ok if you liked the first a lot, just more of the same really.

Oh no this Movie caused me Headache and lols

An interesting sequel, but nothing was new at all. It is the exact same formula from the first. Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal are a fun match, but they shouldn't be made to carry an entire movie. The story was bland and the characters as well.
