Madly in love, they set up house together after Harry regains his white-collar job. But when Kate becomes pregnant, they find themselves at odds with doctors and relatives who are determined to restrict their choices. Pregnancy is too risky for Kate and the baby, they're told. But Harry and Kate believe the child, a girl they've named Astral, has 'chosen them.' With every reason to fight the system, the lovers make the bold sacrifice of setting aside their medication to be sure the baby is born healthy. Now they must fight the demons within them as well as the outside world as they struggle against great odds to stay on the path they've chosen.

    A beautifully acted and moving Australian drama about two emotionally fragile people (John Lynch and Jacqueline McKenzie) who while in rehab fall in love and then find out that they are having a baby, they both decide to get off their medication so that it won't harm their child ...( read more)but it puts both their lives into a loop. Lynch and McKenzie both give excellent and believable performances, the script is well written and the direction is nicely done. Another great Aussie worth checking out!

    I did not know what I was getting myself into watching this movie. Crazy twisted plots, fun humor, it's a love story indeed.
