May 27, 2008Alan Parker's incredible vision of Frank McCourth's bleak and harrowing story set in the slums of the poverty stricken ireland. a little gem that will earn more recognition with time.

March 30, 2008My husband is one of seven children. He grew up under very modest conditions. Yet compared to this poor kid, his family was rich. Watching this grim tale made me realize how blessed we are to live in the USA!
