a cute story of a boy who is determined to believe that the baseball team that he loves can win some games. With the help of some divine intervention the team actually succeeds in reaching their goals
I love this movie, tugs my heartstrings and makes me laugh, nice combo. Danny Glover is wonderful, was nice to see him in a different role type. Good for the kids, has some emotionally parts so if your little ones are mega sensitive be prepared to pause and offer some snuggles.
I looooooooovee this movie bad u wouldn't believe how much i like this. this is one of my all time favorite movies and one of the best feel good movies i ever saw next to Kiki's Delivery Service
regardless of its childish and sugar-coated nature, this is still a childhood favorite and one of my favorite baseball movies as well. some well-done special effects and juvenile inspiration as only modern Disney can provide. impractically entertaining and a great family movie.
A long time ago, a good filmmaker could've taken this premise and made something out of it. Anything after the 1970s? Eh, don't count on it being any good. And thus, it sucks.
Disney doesn't make them like this anymore! Starring some pretty big names now in minor roles, it's fun spotting them. The story is great and the characters are lovable!
Angels in the Outfield contains absolutely no unpredictable elements. The premise involves a young boy named Roger whose deadbeat father has all but abandoned him, saying that their being a family again is as unlikely as the last-place Angels winning the pennant. This prompts Roger to pray for the team and for a family. Suddenly, real angels jump in to help the inept team, and the coach of the Angels insists on Roger and his friend JP attending every home game. There are plenty of hilarious scenes and heart-warming moments to be had throughout the movie. The actors are great and the effects well executed throughout. Academy Award winners Brenda Fricker (Home Alone: Lost in New York, A Time to Kill), Ben Johnson (The Last Picture Show, Red Dawn), and Adrien Brody (The Pianist, The Village) amplify the atmosphere of the movie. It makes it a perfect movie for the whole family.

"We're always watching"... so says the Angel known as Al (Christopher Lloyd). Now that's something reassuring, enit? Oh yeah, I forgot this was one of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's early roles before his indie stardom.
I like so loved this movie. I cried when Rogers father gave him to the state of California, but I got happy again when Mr. Knoxx adopts him and JP. Is a reall good story about a boy who sees angels.
Quality: 3 1/2
Enjoyment: 4
This was one of the first sports movies I saw. I liked Al when I was young. It is a must-see for young baseball fans. Good acting, although the storyline was average.
