I almost would have liked it better if Anne would have triumphed over the schoolmistress with something other than kindness, but I guess you can't really expect Anne with an E to bust out with a Lemat revolver or a plotting scheme for revenge. It's probably better that way. Yeah, it definitely is. One wonders why she dilly-dallies with the rich guy, though. In fantasies like this, you always meet the love of your life when you're eight years old. Obviously.
