Billy Beck, Elsa Raven, Gene Wilder

A last attempt to squeeze some laughs out of the team of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder, Another You mostly conjures up pleasant memories of Silver Streak and Stir Crazy. Pryor p...( read more  read more... )lays a con man forced to tend a pathological liar (Wilder), who's immediately mistaken as a missing millionaire--a mistake that could pay off big. The storyline actually holds promise as a classic screwball comedy outline, but the movie doesn't build any snap or crackle, and promising set-ups dribble away. Even the once-electric chemistry between the stars has faded. Wilder displays that eerie sadness and stillness he brings to his comedic roles, but here he looks stranded. Pryor's ferocious talent is muted and his onscreen energy is turned down low; his reliance on easy profanity feels a little desperate. This was his final starring role before illness took him out of movies. --Robert Horton

Not a great film, Wilder and Pryor's least funny collaboration. Pryor looks ill and there isn't enough of them on screen together. You forgive it though because they are both as watchable as they are likable.

I loved this... had never heard of it before but knew it had to be good when it had Pryor and Wilder in it, they make such a great duo!

the two greatest comedy pairing ever but the film is actually not up to much

Pryor was frail but Wilder carried it dutifully.

2 actors that have always made me laugh and when they are in a movie together you always get twice the fun.

This was the last movie they were in as a double act but it's a fine movie for them to finish such a great screen partnership.

Richard Pryor was really showing sings ...( read more)of being ill here but he is still as funny as ever.

The last few moments are really touching and a fine way to end the movie.

I got tired of the duo, it was funny the first time, then it got old.

Unfortunately not the greatest Wilder and Pryor collaberation but if your a fan give a chance, you'll find a few laughs.
