Al Ruscio, Barry Corbin, Bill McKinney

Philo Beddoe (Clint Eastwood) is back in this sequel to Every Which Way but Loose, once again brawling to make ends meet and just trying to manage his life with a crazy mother (Ruth Gordon), a ...( read more  read more... )dimwitted best friend (Geoffrey Lewis) and, of course, Clyde the Orangutan. He's had enough of this life, but when a mobster (Harry Guardino) comes along to make him an offer he can't refuse, Philo must use his wits as well as his fists to get himself out of yet another jam. The humor is thin and sporadic (though Gordon is in fine form), and Eastwood has since gone on to better things; but a film that features a brawl with a monkey and a motorcycle gang can't be all bad. --Robert Lane

A pointless but welcome follow up. Left turn Clyde!
  • June 16, 2008
A glorified remake of its predecessor with Clint Eastwood still kicking ass for money, Clyde drinking beer and mating with zoo inmates and a sex scene featuring Anne "Mrs. Fratelli" Ramsey. Top that off with Glen Campbell and you get another red neck classic that ranks up there w...( read more)ith any of the crap Burt Reynolds was doing in this era. Hey, it's still better than Fire Fox.

Which one is this? Does it matter?
  • June 20, 2007
A good if slighty odd comedy film about bare knuckle fights. Has some hilarious moments largely thanks to Clyde the Orangutan!

More witless ape-related redneckery from a true star who should've known better.

One of Two Very FUNNY Eastwood movies
  • December 19, 2008
This movie is not as good as the first one. There are plenty of wacky characters and some entertaining moments. Close to the ending of the movie things get a little to zany.
  • November 12, 2008
Not as good as the original, but good enough. The leading lady and love interest is a frustrating character and difficult to tolerate but it's Eastwood comedy just like the first one. You can't help but laugh.
