Certainly won't make it into any "Woody Allen's Best" list, but a genius' less achieved film is still better than anything most filmmakers will ever do in their lives. Feels at times a bit wretched and condescending but still has some of Allen's touch and brilliant dialogues in i...( read more)

For the first time in my life I had to just stop watching a movie due to boredom and shotty diologue.

I thought this was pretty interesting not bad at all.
It starts off with not much happening but when you get into the story it becomes good.
I was quite shocked with the acting and the script and the ending was great too.
The story was interesting but in my opinion it wa...( read more) -

I thought this film is way underrated. You'll have to be a "reader" or "intelligent" to understand fully what Allen achieved in Anything Else. It was hilarious and classic. Definitely worth watching twice for the memorable sayings. If you are into boring, senseless bloodbath acti...( read more)

Anything Else is most definitely not Woody Allen's best picture. It has great moments and lines, but the movie itself is very anticlimactic. Jason Biggs does not give a praiseworthy performance, and Christina Ricci isn't any more notable. I'm not sure if it is deliberate, but the...( read more)

One of the best films of 2003. The way Woody Allen's current work is so frequently shunned by audiences and film critics is shameful. He is a relevant, extremely skilled filmmaker, and this piece of work fits nicely into his brilliant career. It's a beautifully photographed piece...( read more)
Critic Reviews
Half an hour into the movie, the title seems like a taunt. Is there anything else, Woody? Please? full review
It has taken Allen over 30 years, but he has finally made a movie that's almost unwatchable. full review
At a time when so many American movies keep dialogue at a minimum so they can play better overseas, what a delight to listen to smart people whose conversation is like a kind of comic music. full review
It feels oddly long for a Woody Allen picture, but its relaxed, casual air gives the humor room to breathe, and a gratifyingly high proportion of the piled-up one-liners actually raise a laugh. full review
Because Allen hasn't lost his knack for slapstick with a sting, Anything Else hits its mark more often than not. full review
