Fine performances from Natalie Portman and Susan Sarandon, nicely developed characters. It waivers rather drastically from light to very heavy a little too often, but overall it's a film that has substance, and it is moving. Well written, good score.

A really gritty look into the trials and troubles of a mother and daughter trying to make their way in the world. This is really a beautiful movie, I stumbled on it completely by accident and I love it
