I really liked ts great movie
it was very interesting one
everyone in this movie was just running and running
but it was pretty gd
( I din't like that when all the wonderfull characters died )

July 24, 2007The review given by 00AYA00 is one of the most insipid reviews i've ever read! Ill give her the benefit of the doubt however and chalk it up to teenage stupidity. It was the white man who destroyed the great civilizations of the americas and if you ever decide to open up a history book, you'll find that european history was just as brutal as any other civilization. The europeans killed for far more ridiculous reasons than the native americans EVER did! Stay in school dingleberry and learn some grammar! (dummy!)

July 17, 2007OMG I LOVE THIS MOVIE I SEEN IT SO MANY TIME I LOST THE COUNT .... MEL GIBSON DID A GREAT JOB THE MOVIE IS BEAUTIFUL , THE COLORS , THE CHARACTERS , EVERYTHING , I DONT GET HOW PEOPLE HATE THIS MOVIE THEY MUST BE CRAZY .. I LOVE THIRD EYE , SNAKE INK , AND JAGUAR PAW THEY ARE MY FAVORATES..........

June 27, 2007Some people dont want to watch the movie because of subtitles.. but the fact that its in Maya and not English makes it that much better. You can really get lost in it because its SO realistic... you start to imagine how it would feel to be any one of the characters' shoes.
My advice is... dont hate on Mel Gibson.. he knows how to make movies better than most!! Just take Braveheart for example.. awesome. Or the Passion... another awesome movie. And the cast was *perfect* by the way.... so if you feel like watching a good movie... rent Apocalypto!! -

June 10, 2007I think this movie is really touching and controversial,,,,, it's funny how dummy these people are,, instead of being altogether and beating the odds !! they just went on and on killing mercilessly to please whatever God they believe in,, it shows how cruelty and lake of knowladge destroyes whole civilizations,,

June 9, 2007I gave this 3 stars. I think it was a great movie for mel,
however....I don't care to read the movie. you miss most of the feeling and can lose some words when trying to do both. Grafic, yes to a point, it did show how fear can bring you to your knees, and distroy a family or keep it strong. The cosumes where fantasic and the music was a bit much some times. (17) and older..for me it's a renter. -
June 8, 2007this is an awesome movie, the language used in this film is from the Mayan civilization before the spanish contact. the actor,rudy gonzales the main actor did all the stunts by himself. 2 thumbs up for this movie!

June 7, 2007I couldn't believe how great this movie was! The story was so fantastic and it kept getting better and better with not even a second of boredom. The acting, the design, the costumes, the makeup design, etc. must be mentioned, too. I don't think you can find better film making anywhere. A stupendous movie for sure!

June 4, 2007I had no idea what to expect when sitting down to watch this and was horrified by the gruesome events that unfolded - I had a hard time trying to sleep afterward! The story is captivating and had me on the edge of my seat, however nauseated (with hands covering my eyes)by the inhumane violence and depravety. I can't really decide if I loved it or hated it. I was glad to see that Jaguars Paw lived to see his family again.

June 1, 2007excellent movie! the cinematography was well done; this movie makes you feel the emotions, makes you coil at the sight of inhumane practices, and leaves you with the will to survive against all odds; I especially like this particular contrast: the radicals worshipping...an eclipse, was it? And then everything ends with the arrival of the outsiders, a rather mundane element; in my opinion, the end was rather sad, because the brief victory was heavily overshadowed by the arrival of the colonists

May 31, 2007It basically shows how people can destroy their own by believing one person to be alknowing. Notice how I said PERSON. They killed thousands of their own to worship a "vengeful" God which was a Solar Eclipse? AND THEN THE WHITE MAN CAME! All hell further broke lose and we haven't seen the civilization since. Well, at least we know who started Oral Sex :)
Strictly entertainment...take it how you want it. Raw Ass poster though... -
May 28, 2007Racism is good cinema. Buy it and be honest about your ignorance. It's just a movie after all. What harm could it do? It's not like people take this movie as 100% fact and historical truth. People can't be that stupid.
