Colorful, breezy minor musical. Doris is full of her usual verve and Ray Bolger, although an unusual leading man for her is a dancing wonder especially in the number when he dances with Washington and Lincoln.

The songs in this musical are easily forgettable, although Doris Day is always watchable when she's belting out a tune, and the plot isn't up to much - particularly for the first half of the film. That said, the whole wedding night sequence had me laughing out loud. The innuendo ...( read more)
