Without a powerful performance by Ian McKellen this movie would be a total failure.

The movie is quite well acted. Dark and disturbing with the Stephen King feeling that I usually get from his books. The play of power and control between Renfro and McKellan is awesome. This is not a happy movie be prepared for darkness but great depth.

I liked this movie..there are really no other movies like this.
Brad Renfro is great in it.
It had its moments, just not too many. McKellen was good but this film was really not that special, not bad either though. Watch if its on but don't go out of way to watch this film. Redo
This movie was exceptionally disturbing. Perhaps I was a little to young to understand everything that was going on, but I got enough to be freaked out. Maybe I will watch this again now that I am all grown up. :)
