One of my favorite symphony pieces was Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade. Mili Avital gives this heroine some of the same quiet and intelligent passion that I attributed to her character from listening to the music. Unfortunately, all the actors around her ham it up. Good sets and costumes made me add half a star.

A magnificent movie though it was made for TV. Excellent performances by both Dougray Scott & Mili Avital.
Definitely going into my fave list!

Full of enchantment and wonder. The tales weave together very well, and the acting is great. I love this mini-series.

Incredibly bad TV adaption of the classic tales, missing all the spirit of the originals. One star for the special effects.

I think about this movie daily.

This movie is so cool. The King's wife falls for his brother who is also a king. He kills her and marries another woman and he plans to kill her. To stay alive each night she tells him a story and always leaves him hanging one. when she finishes one story she starts another. This movie is wonderful and it's very cool how it has so many different stories in it.

Seems kinda silly to have it on my list but I'm a sucker for fairytales and a big fan of Arabian Nights. And also, this movie is very funny! Made me laugh a lot!

TV miniseries are not so popular as they were several years ago, which is kind of a shame, because there have been some really enjoyable ones.

I was really drawn into this and stayed interested until the very end.

One of the most charming fairy tales of the East... Many stories combined in one... Great work, although it's a bit long...

This is a really cool spin on the Aladin most people know. It got me thinking and it was fun to watch.
