I hate Roberto Benigni but thankfully, even if the scenes he is in are crap because of him, the movie survives with the charming performances of both leads, specially Depardieu in one of the most extraordinary casting decisions ever made.

Hilarious. Love Gérard Depardieu.
Although the dubbing is done badly (the lip movements should be ignored to enjoy it), this take on the popular comics by Goscinny and Uderzo.
Kids will love it, and adults will enjoy comparing the film to the comic books. A must - see. -

Why so much hatred and bad hype towards it? As a magical and cute epic story for the family, it works very fine :( Just take a look at Benigni doing those stupid things lol, and the longest beard ever.

mmm no es una buena adaptación en muchos sentidos se parece al comic y a los animados pero le hace falta algo... Igual es bueno recordar.

J'ai bien aimé, c'est très représentatif de la série télé d'animation et des bandes dessinées. Les acteurs sont tous très bons et rendent parfaitement crédit aux personnages. C'est très léger et adorable, le genre de comédie dont on ne se lasse pas. Chapeau!
