Some of the best montage work I've seen since Eisenstein (And also not as occasionally-jarringly-over-intellectual, like Eisenstein sometimes( Not like I actually know hat's happening withe Deren anyway)). As with the other Deren film I've seen, each shot is amazingly well composed, and all of the strange little special effects are done perfectly. The silent-acting, also, is great. On another note entirely: The multiple Mayas in multiple movies struck me as rather odd... Was she very into herself? Heh.
