This nature documentary takes a look at the world of the sea turtle, with marvelous footage of the creature on shore and in the sea. Sea turtles and their habitat have become threatened by human encroachment; hunting of the turtle for its shell, hide, and oil, and poaching of its eggs have decimated its numbers. Female sea turtles lay their eggs on holes in the beach. Lights are now prohibited in many beach communities to protect the breeding and hatching cycle of the sea turtle.
