Uhm, ew. Definitely one of the worst films I have ever seen! I got suckered into this shitfest because of Bowie, whose role lasted a whopping forty seven seconds. [P.S. Josh Hartnett is so tough with his stick-on tattoos! REBEL!]

As pre-9/11 dot-com hotshot Tom Sterling (Josh Hartnett), he's seen his parents and tech wonk brother treating him with contempt, the girl he's pining for giving him the brush-off, and his startup Internet company blowing up in his face.

    Boring.

From the get go you are totally lost, i was kinda holding on to the fact the Hartnett was playing the jerk, selfiish playboy so I kept watching. To much going on in the movie with all his other problems but none of them are ever resolved, every bit of this movie was left open-end...( read more)ed. I kinda felt like I was reading a cliff's notes version of the flick. The characters were all choppy and had the depth of a puddle. I wanna call Austin Chick and ask him if he can refund 90 minutes of me and my girlfriends life, well only about 20 of hers she fell asleep.

Was hoping that something interesting would happen but it just dragged out. Skip it.

Its not that bad. If you understand the real competition in business, trading and dot.coms, you'll love this movie.

So, this film sucked too! Either there's a conspiracy against me and my video rental store is in on it or I have lost all ability to pick out a good film.

Right from the start, it was a horrible premise. They tried to make a boring storyline dark and sexy. It's a movie about ...( read more)how two internet geeks make a bunch of money then lose a bunch of money, ending up no worse off than where they started. That's boring but what makes the film bad is that they add ominous music and make one of the geeks a "bad boy." If it looks like a duck . . .it's still a stupid duck! (Not the movie Duck, which is a whole other beast.

This month was originally named Sextilis in Latin, because it was the sixth month in the ancient Roman calendar, which started in March about 735 BC under Romulus. It became the eighth month either when January and February were added to the beginning of the year by King Numa Pom...( read more)pilius about 700 BC or when those two months were moved from the end to the beginning of the year by the decemvirs about 450 BC (Roman writers disagree). It was renamed in honor of Augustus in 8 BC because several of the most significant events in his rise to power, culminating in the fall of Alexandria, fell in this month. Lore claims August originally had 29 days in the Roman Republican calendar. Augustus took two days from February and gave it to August when Sextilis was renamed in his honor.[2] See Month lengths how this commonly believed lore was proven wrong.

August's flower is the gladiolus or poppy, and its birthstone is the peridot.

In common years no other month starts on the same day of the week as August, though in leap years February starts on the same day.
