Anthony Wong stars as a con-man named Liu Sheng-ming, who passes himself off as a feng shui master and exorcist, and makes a great deal of money defrauding gullible customers. One day, Liu is called to investigate a possible haunting at an apartment building, where he meets the eccentric Lam Cho-wen (Simon Yam), who blames Liu for the death of his wife. Lam is determined to expose Liu's fraudulent trickery, and not only begins courting the phony exorcist's wife, but stages a number of elaborate hoaxes similar to those employed by Liu in order to drive the shyster insane. That's when Liu meets the beautiful Fei-fei (Carman Lee), who may also be a ghost herself. But then, so may Lam. A disjointed narrative relying on slapstick and surprisingly effective visuals may confuse some viewers, but genre enthusiasts are likely to have a wonderful time. Anita Lee co-stars. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi
