Be warned if you are a parent as this as shocking sence of violent toward children. A well acted low budget horror flick which i believe is based loosely on a true story. It make you think afterwards about your loved ones and maybe how lucky we are.!

The film tells the story of a mother (Colleen Porch) who is suffering from a severe case of post-partum depression and soon starts believing it is her duty to kill her four children while her husband is away for work. It's up to her eldest son (Ridge Canipe) to stop her. Baby Blu...( read more)es also accomplishes the feat of making a psychological thriller that melds the best the genre has to offer with that of a straight-ahead horror film, as it becomes a chase film once Mom has made her diabolical intentions clear and her son must do anything he can to survive. The film is relentless in its attempts to thrill the viewer, each portion of the chase intelligently orchestrated for maximum tension. Colleen Porch gives a simply superb performance as Mom. She ably portrays one person gradually losing her grip on reality and descending into madness. Ridge Canipe is almost as impressive, especially since he is 13-years of age and will only get better as an actor. This isn't about some cool serial killer in a hockey mask slaughtering a bunch of vapid teenagers in delightfully gory ways, and the fact that the setting is so normal and the events so plausible makes it all the more horrifying. Each death is tragic and hurtful to watch, and the suspense leading up to them is dreadful. Impeccably made and intensely effective, Baby Blues more than succeeds in what it sets out to do, but is it ever hard to watch.

I have to say that this is not so much of a reccomendation but more of a warning. I got about half way through this and I had to turn it off. I havent felt so uncomfortable watching a film for many years. Okay the subject matter was never going to be soul lifting but I didnt real...( read more)ly think that the filmmakers would have captured the pure mania and fear that the mother and kids felt. I got past where she murdered he baby and tried to drown her 6 year old daaugter before I couldnt watch any more. Dont get me wrong. I have given the film a low rating for the fact I didnt see it all. The acting up to the point I watched it was just too realistic, the camera angles and direction were just superb...I just couldnt take the look on the kids faces as she went mental on them......damn fine film making, just not for me.

don't see this sick f*****g movie..it's horrifying shit, and not in a good way..the whole movie is about a psycho mother running around and killing her children and all the animals on their farm, a pig, chickens and a dog, basically everything she get her hands on..I can't even u...( read more)nderstand why someone would make a movie like this one, would like to know how their brains look like..I'm a huge horror-fan and not the sensitive type, but this is too sick for me, horror movies is suppose to be entertaining, and killing children and animals and show it like they do in this, is NOT entertainment..

ummm... a movie like this is strong, I mean we are used to seeing violence, but towards children it's pretty disturbing. It was a good movie, I just wished they would've spent more time to see the mom fall into that stage, see how she got tp that point and not just jump into the ...( read more)killing but still good, the ending was, for me, pretty bad, just like countless horror flicks do, set itself for a sequel. it's still a decent movie

OMG this movie is horrible. Its not a horror, its a brutal violent traumatic intrepetation of 'actual events'. I seriously wonder about those who enjoy this movie and what parents let their kids act in this.
