This is generally considered a 'b' movie...and I kinda liked it. granted, it's got that asshole guy from "Some Kind of Wonderful" as a 'good' guy, but it's kinda sweet. A good lokking guy dating a tubby, nerdy girl. Gives us all hope. I really hated the title though...
One of my favorite ricki Lake movies. being a big gal myself, its nice to see the big gal getting the guy.
Starring Ricki Lake...(if you loved Hairspray, you would love BabyCakes) the story will remind you of hairspray less the musicals.
tacky music...stalker love story..ricki lake dressed like a punk.
all n all rad.
