    Though there are moments where it gets dark, it still a fun installment in the trilogy.

    Excellent part two to the triology. Doc takes Marty into the future to save Marty's kids, but they end up in a different parallel life due to Biff changing history back in 1950s. So they have to go back in time. Exciting ride, full of adventure.

    And here is the next chapter, in my opinion not quite as sharp as the first but still a bloody good flick. The time jumpin and story gets alittle confusing so you have to take notice, this is abit of a downer, but its all done soooo well. The cast remain in tact apart from Marty'...( read more)s girlfriend and all continue to work well, especially Lloyd. The effects are really special here, long before cgi, they still look great, a mix of models and stop/go animation, its terrific and looks real, unlike the cgi monster these days. The future is really well visualised and there's some nice ideas and touches, 'Jaws' hologram anyone? highways in the sky, cool, excellent follow up.

    Doc: Unbelievable, that old Biff could have chosen that particular date. It could mean that that point in time inherently contains some sort of cosmic significance. Almost as if it were the temporal junction point for the entire ...( read more)space-time continuum. On the other hand, it could just be an amazing coincidence.

    The sequel to the hugely entertaining first chapter. What this film may lack in complete originality and emotional resonance of the first is certainly made up for by its fast pace, superior technical film making, and tricky but still solid time travel logic, all making the film just as much fun as the original. And it has hoverboards!

    The film picks up exactly where the last leaves off. Doc, Marty, and his girlfriend Jennifer (played by Elizabeth Shue) head into the future (2015) in order to sort out some problems with Marty's children.

    Upon arriving, the plot from here unfolds with an unfortunate cog screwing things up completely - Biff the bully. Biff at one point steals the time machine and travels back to change the events of the past, causing an alternate 1985 (present time by the movie's logic), which is disastrous for our heroes. Doc and Marty must then travel back to 1955 to hopefully correct the errors made, while avoiding themselves who are currently in that time period as well.

    Data: Hey McFly, you bojo, those boards don't work on water!
    Whitey: Unless you've got POWER!

    This movie is extremely well made, which is important because so many holes could have occurred if the story wasn't so carefully thought out and presented. The time travel logic presented here is solid and a lot of fun to think out with others.

    Now, along with that, this film is once again very entertaining. The presentation of the future is basically handled as the opposite of Blade Runner, working to provide a sunny atmosphere and technology that, although fantastical, would be a lot of fun were it to at some point exist.

    Moving to the alternate 1985, although its supposed to be a darker time, the movie still has a lot of fun with the way it has Biff infect the world.

    Now, when the movie goes back to 1955 even more fun begins, with clever use of special effects and some reshooting to incorporate both Marty and the Doc into a number of scenes with themselves.

    Robert Zemeckis once again pulls off his use of special effects to carefully make this film look wonderful. And all the humor and excitement is still present. Add to that a cliffhanger ending that would have you revved up for the final chapter (even if it is the weakest) and this is another wonderful film.

    Young Biff: Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?
    Old Biff: It's *leave*, you idiot! "Make like a tree, and leave." You sound like a damn fool when you say that.

    I really loved the second part even more than the first one, because (ofcourse) you get to see alot more cool effects (for that time)! I'm really amazed that they were able to do such cool visuals back then!!!
    The story is funny and cute! It is a classic trilogy (like The Lord of...( read more) The Rings now) and if you love effects, you just gotta love this movie because it is surely in the special effects history of movies.
