Tony Martin - YOU'RE A GENIUS! Had me laughing from start to finish! BRILLIANT! One of the finest Australian films produced to date, Tony Martin's 'Bad Eggs' is a hilarious movie with a great Aussie cast and an almost flawless script. The film is centred on Ben Kinnear (Molloy) and Mike Paddock (Franklin), two detectives from Melbourne's Zero Tolerance Unit who are following the trail of a mysterious suicide. When a respected magistrate gases himself to death, the car goes rolling down into a shopping centre where Ben and Mike believe the magistrate was committing a crime, and shoot him several times. This gets them all over the news, and almost gets them the sack. Then they manage to burn down the magistrate's house, and crash his funeral. The two are then busted down to uniformed duties. But when Ben discovers a strange link between the accident and the business affairs of a shady casino boss he and Mike have been investigating, the pair decides that they can no longer turn a blind eye to the corruption rife amongst their own colleagues. Probably the most action packed and violent Australian drama to date, this "deadly serious comedy" surpassed my every expectation and I look forward to Tony Martin writing and directing more films like this. Alan Brough is one actor I thought did an exceptional job in this film, along with most of the supporting cast like Bill Hunter, Sean Micallef and Judith Lucy. The cast is filled to the brim with Australian comedic talent that makes this film a unique experience. A highly recommended film! The DVD is possibly the best DVD ever made! The extras will have you pissing yourself with laughter!

Ha ha ha, another good aussie comedy - Judith Lucy at her most sardonic and Mick Malloy being himself- I like it

Widely and unfairly panned by critics and the wider viewing public, Bad Eggs is just too damn clever for the masses to fully comprehend. It's bloody hilarious.

Tony Martin has a sharp sense of the absurd in movie conventions and uses this knowledge to great comedic effect. Mick Molloy plays his usual lovable larrakin persona and Bob Franklin is an unrecognised comedic genius.

Bad Eggs will not be everyone's cup of tea, but not everyone is intelligent enough to get the subtleties of this film. I highly recommend it, despite the naysayers.

Very funny, it has a good story line and a fine cast of Australian actors such as Mick Molloy, Shaun Mc Calef and Judith Lucy. It kept me laughing throughout the whole film. "Short fucken sleeves?!"

This is another brilliant Aussie film - YES we finally make them good! Again Mick and Judith team up for brilliant performances. Bob Franklin makes this film extra special, I love his style of comedy, especially his appearence on Australias most wanted!!!

I love this movie! Judith Lucy was awesome in it. I thought she bought a touch of sparkle to the scenes she was in. All up, a great movie!

slightly offbeat and predictable, but nevertheless, its aimable entertainment. mick molloy and judith lucy, despite their surroundings are even more bored in this role than others i've seen. a very unsuspenseful finale scene where a trade is organised between two groups is well filmed, but seems amateurish and predictable. could've been better.
