One of the best things about this film was the beautiful art direction. It looked more real, yet animated, I also felt it looked more fixable compared to other forest scenes in past Disney films, ie: "Snow White". I also like how the film was quite minimalistic with less dialogue, and more music and visuals. Some of the film's scenes were a little boring, such as the raindrop scene toward the beginning of the film, but nonetheless, the film was created quite well. The film's characters were unique, but none really wowed me. I believe the strongest scenes in the film has to be death of his mother and the wildfire scene toward the end. The wildfire scene was intense, yet wasn't too much for young kids. I think this was one of the Disney's stronger and more dramatic films, and I was hoping it would have been longer with more than two climaxes (mother's death scene and the wildfire scene). The film could also be strong if orchestral music was used instead of those early "pop" music of the early 40s. Overall, the film's visuals were fun to watch, yet the fun characters in the film would be enough for young kids of all kind to enjoy and laugh at.

This movie maybe a childrens movie but it is a real tear-jerker.When Bambis mother gets killed that is the saddest part.Flower and Thumper are the cutest characters.
