Band - Music From the Big Pink
On its release in 1968 MUSIC FROM THE BIG PINK brought the rock world back down to earth with a bump. Eschewing the over-produced tendencies of their peers, The Band instead decamped to their basement studio (named "The Big Pink") and stripped their sound of any pretensions. The results caused a huge about-turn in the rock world, with many other bands adopting a similar style, albeit without quite the same authenticity or passion as Robbie Robertson and his cohorts. MUSIC FROM THE BIG PINK is presented here in a stunning 5.1 surround sound mix for the DVD-Audio format.
