    This story takes place in a country farm. Otis the bull (or gender confused cow) is the care free son of Ben, the leader of the Barnyard. Otis is young an energetic, he likes to have fun and has little ambitions. Ben hopes that one day Otis will take his place as the leader of th...( read more)e barn, but worries that he may not be capable of this. After Ben is killed by a pack of coyotes, the reluctant Otis now must take over the barn and lead the other animals and protect them should the evil coyotes return. But unfortunately, the film drags a little to get to its point. It is very padded with the party sequences in the barn, and the likes of the trailer's key "boy tipping" sequence. So when actual plot development takes place, it is offset by something silly that takes over and stays going for a lengthy amount of time. This movie was being shown for free at the theater here, so I took a couple of neightbor kids to see it, and during the movie another little boy maybe 7 or 8 started crying when the coyotes killed Ben. Alot of the people in the theater were scared including adults at some of the scenes.

    This was a fun idea and a very good movie. me and my daughter laughed the whole way through. Now of course the biggest problem with the movie is the fact that Otis a male COW. . yeah ..

    So many things wrong with this movie. It's a good thing I saw it on the movie channel before renting or buying it.
