Enjoyable. Lovely costumes and beautiful to watch. Anna Friel was actually likable as the Countess. A tad bit long, but I got through it okay.
The one thing I hated about this film is the stupid dialogue which was done by a damn hack who spoke no or pathetic English, which then begs the question, why in English? It ruined the entire viewing experience and could've been so much more and better. No masterpiece, but boy wa...( read more)

É um pouco do samba do crioulo doido, misturar caravaggio, padre inventor e bathoy no emso lugar, mas o filme tem alguma qualidades!
I was expecting a bit more. I'm not sure I buy into this theory of Countess Bathory. Anna Friel did a good job though. It tried to be way too epic and thus the reason it sort of failed at reaching its potential.
The trailer made her look like a madwoman but in the movie she was portrayed to be a victim of circumstances. I enjoyed the movie cause of the history, the costumes, and all of those extraneous things but other than that, it was weird. It was as if the plot was adapted from a fat...( read more)
