Plot: Fans of the stylized Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, and their subsequent feature-length releases (Batman: Mask of the Phantasm) will be pleased to note that the same ...( read more read more... )creative team responsible for those efforts have reunited for this action-filled adventure, which pits the Dark Knight against a fetching vigilante in Bat-gear. Kyra Sedgwick voices Batwoman, whose struggle to bring down the Penguin's illegal arms trade gets her in hot water with his hired muscle, Bane (Hector Elizondo), and prompts Batman (Kevin Conroy) to swing into action. Curt Geda's fast-paced, noir-influenced direction, a solid script by Michael Reaves that stays true to the comic book mythos, and a talented voice cast (which includes Kelly Ripa and David Ogden Stiers) help make Batwoman a welcome addition to the Batman DVD library. The Warner DVD's 45 minutes of extras include an original short ("Chase Me"), nine character bios, behind-the-scenes footage, an interview with Geda, and other audience-pleasing supplements. --Paul Gaita

I liked Bane in this one. They made him intelligent unlike in Batman & Robin. He was also Spanish, "SeŅor Batman!"

Too sad, but this movie was really lame, i'm a big fan of the DC Animated Universe created by Bruce Timm, but this time, the plot and the characters don't work very well.

I hate The Penguin, Batman have a lot of better villains.

A new hero called Batwoman is in town. Is Batwoman her own hero or is she somehow linked to the Caped Crusader?

Entertaining animation movie. Good action, drawing and pace is smooth. It turns out the 3 ladies are disguising as batwoman and taking turns to do that, and they somehow connect on one level or another, for revenge. But the ever clever batman figured it out just in time. Penguin is defeated and happy ending to everyone...

Of all of the Animated Batman movies this is the one that felt the most like a couple of episodes that were strung together. Thats not really a bad thing since the show is fantastic but it was more like 3 of the not as good episodes.

This movie SUCKED. I couldn't even watch the whole thing; I just turned it off a third of the way through it. The fact that it's animated by the same artists who work(ed) on Superman: The Animated Series doesn't help.

This was a good one and made good use of it's villain arsenal. I really loved the music of course and the story was great.

Not the best in the Batman animated movies, but just damn fun.

There's no weight in this tale. There's no overblown story arc or anything that's going to affect ol' batsy a great deal, it's just an old fasion action mystery with some good set pieces adn a chance to have some fun.

The 3 batwomen are pretty forgetable, but they all play with the bruce wayne character pretty well. Even the Halle Berry one.

It's a nice side order to an already perfect meal that is the batman animated series and it's worth it for the Bane boat tussle.

Light in tone for Batman, but a welcome distraction from the constant darkness of the other films.
It's nice to see Bruce get the girl for once.

A weak end to the Bruce Timm era of Batman cartoons. It's villains are pointless, the love story is ridiculous and the action shameful.

I remember WATCHING it, but not much else. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt -- two stars on the basis of Mask of the Phantasm and the TV series.

Not the best Batman film ever made. Not even the best animated film ever made. indeed the ending was a bit of a ciop out ifI remember right... but compared to either of Joel Schumacher's efforts, it's a fucking masterpiece.

slack animation and unbelievable action sequences are just the beginning in this animated batman film. the voices for the characters are sometimes not in time with the animated figures' mouth movements, which is just pathetic, and the villians are boring. boring pretty much covers every aspect of this film.

Pretty limp fare. While I consider this incarnation of Batman: The Animated series to be one of the best animated television shows of all time, it's never spawned a movie I've enjoyed. Oh well, guess I'll have to watch the episodes again.

I don't care what other people say. I love this movie. It was interesting, had great voice work and good aanimation and the villains were fun. Not to mention the music, it was mysterious and almost seductive but very very batman-esque.
