Most days, Hama and his assistant Michio can be found rummaging through the local junkyards and rubbish piles in search of buried treasure. When Hama digs deep into the trash and discovers a kotatsu heater, he excitedly rushes home to see if it still works. Upon removing the sacred seal, however, Hama is horrified to witness a startling transformation. What was once a common household devise designed to keep Japanese homes during the chilly winters suddenly transforms into a man-eating monster of a machine and begins feasting on the unsuspecting residents of the crowded apartment block. The rampaging machine meets its ultimate match, however, when it attempts to dine on a particularly rowdy punk rock band. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
