Being a huge fan of Get Shorty, I was happy that watching this film felt like being thrown straight back into the swing of things. Travolta is again great although a little less likable than before. The film is mainly made up of musicians, comedians and even an ex-wrestler trying...( read more)

"Get Shorty" was a very cool movie but this sequel is nothing compared to it. Although the movie has a lot of talent in it, it fails to entertain you.
I think "Be Cool" is very boring and the only positive things in it are suprisingly some of the scenes where The Rock and Andre ...( read more) -

The coolest movie in years. Total complete fun from start to finish. A great all-star cast. John Travolta has never been better. The Rock steals the show. Vince Vaughn, Cedric The Entertainer and Andre Benjamin are hilarious. Packs plenty of outragious laughs and explosive action.

After Get Shorty, one would expect this Elmore Leonard novel adaptation to be strong. It was strong alright....it stunk BAD!

You know a sequel isn't working when, ten minutes into the movie, a voice inside your head starts screaming, 'Please make it stop!' full review
The movie feels more like a cavalcade of personalities than anything resembling a story. full review
This bumbling exercise in redundant replication is as disagreeably lukewarm as a heavily trafficked municipal baby pool. full review
It's instantly forgettable, but smooth fun most of the way. full review
Keeps wandering off on tangents, and after a while its audience does, too. full review
One character after another, one scene after another, one cute line of dialogue after another, refers to another movie, a similar character, a contrasting image, or whatever. The movie is like a burea... full review
The bits with Cedric the Entertainer and his gun-toting posse struck me as a flaming racist outrage, and casting The Rock as a flamboyantly gay actor/singer must have looked funnier on paper. full review
Represents the mind-numbing antithesis of cool. full review
The only worse thing than starring in a bad movie is using it to call up memories of a time when you were terrific. That's not cool at all. full review
