I have a spot in my heart for Disney movies like this. At the end, I almost cried and I'm the typical guy.

We have Monty Python's 'Life of Brian' in the IMDb Top 250 but not this masterpiece? My faith in humanity is lost.

I have only recently begun to fully appreciate the beauty (excuse pun, please) of this film. Well - written, wonderful voice, cute characters, witty lyrics ... eve...( read more)rything a good animation needs. But there's more. This film delivers the same enveloping pleasure of reading a bedtime story to your children/or being read one as a child. You can completely lose yourself for 90 minutes and when the credits roll you just want to go back to the beginning and start all over again. Wonderful ... definitely one of the films to see with the next generation.

The only animated film ever nominated for a Best Picture Oscar is most worthy of that distinction.

Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

Slipped around all my roadblocks and penetrated directly into my strongest childhood memories, in which animation looked more real than live-action features. full review

beauty&the beast is disney's greatest!! instead of worrying about normal problems, they experienced true love. outside of the bible this is the most beautiful love story ever told. all the characters were lovable, the scores great!! the songs wonderful(especially tale as old as time) and even the animation was good, for an old movie it still captures your attention magically. it will always be my favorite!!! one of the best!!!

I love this movie. It's just Disney at it's best. Back when they could actually make good movies. Nowadays they get their credit from Pixar.
