From the previews I was afraid that the hamster was going to be too over the top and ridiculous but it wasn't that bad. I love Adam Sandler and I want it to rain gumballs!

As I had noted in previous reviews of Sandler films, I used to not want to like him, but gave in to his genuine charm and likable nature which translates well on screen.
That being said, this film is only "fair" with a bit too much of those adult themed jokes to be quite for you...( read more)ng kids and too much for kids to be for adults who don't embrace their "childlike" side.
It starts out with a feeling kind of like "The Princess Bride," in the "storytelling," but it moves into a rather tepid tale about the power of dreams and believing.
Sandler plays his usual lovable, misunderstood character whose heart is always in the right place. You've seen it before and now, if you watch this, you will see it with Sandler and a PG rating.
A cute watch. I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 7 or 8 frankly if not older.
Some nice zingers, some pretty faces and some nice sight gags earns this little more than a three-star review...we will see about the sequel.
