I thinks this was a great movie. I watched the whole thing on You Tube...lol. It was great though. I remember watching this when I was little. We have like half of it on tape, but of course I wanted to see the whole thing. I really liked it. It is such a strange movie though. I really like the couple. They are both very sweet and beautiful people. I think Beetlejuice is hilarious too. I love the part when he was like "attention K-mart shoppers" I thought that was funny. Great movie.
Yeah yeah. I still love this movie. Perhaps it is the music sequence where everyone dances their bums around the dinner table, or maybe it is because they do a really quirking, but otherwise entertaining, job with the special effects. Either way, I think this movie is a classic!
Very good Tim Burton film. I thought the story was really creepy and also really cool. I love Beetlejuices voice in it and the acting from Michael Keaton. It is brilliant that you have to say Beetlejuice three times for him to appear. The art and the setting is brilliant particularly when they end up on the same size as Beetlejuice when they say his name three times. Like the gravestones, the little towns and villages. I love it. But not as good as Edward Scissorhands and Sweeney Todd. Very good oscar-winning make-up on Beetlejuice. It looks a bit like the Joker make-up that Heath Ledger had to wear in the upcoming Batman film The Dark Knight. Geena Davis, Winona Ryder and Alec Baldwin were very good in this film aswell. Tim Burton's outlandish horror comedy has newlydeads Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis hiring trouble-shooting zombie Michael Keaton to keep their home from human habitation. At first this seems to offer a solution to their problems - the new inhabitants do indeed seem to be more scary than the ghosts - but rapidly Beetlejuices manic solutions descend into chaos.
Betelgeuse: [finishing his used-car style commercial] And remember...
[sings and hops back and forth]
Betelgeuse: I'll eat anything you want me to eat. I'll swallow anything you want me to swallow. But, come on down and I'll... chew on a dog! Arroooo!
Tim Burton's most original and odd tale of a ghoul from the afterlife who befriends some odd people who can see him. The cheesy cartoon that followed was freaking annoying. Yes, that's Michael Keaton as the ghoul.
Brilliant film! Soo funny, Michael Keaton was the best of course, he added the humour at justt eh right pitch, he was fantastic :) A typical 80s setting was perfect :D
Everything Burton did from Pee Wee up to Ed Wood, is solid gold. Mars Attacks! is decent too. But this is just so weird. It looks really good. It's funny. And, dammit, I enjoy.
This movie is a classic to me... one that I will always love. First of all, how adorable is Winona Ryder as Lydia in this movie? She was a perfect cast. Plus, Michael Keaton was an amazing and convincing Beetlejuice. This cult classic probably began my love affair with Tim Burton movies. Every now and then, I just get this overwhelming urge to revisit this movie... it's like an old friend.
I love this show more than anything! Wow it was just so funny. I felt bad for Beetle Juice at the end though. And can anyone tell me why he couldn't say his own name?
The effects admittedly now look rather dated, but the idea behind this film is very creative and certainly has the Tim Burton stamp on it. A well played part from Michael Keaton.
A bio-exorcist. This movie is awesome! The reason why I love Burton. I liked everyone in this movie, they all did a great job. A nice dark Comedy, I love it.
