"We may just be witnessing the beginning of the end"...of Peter Graves' quality acting! Nah, kidding. Fun film, great MST3K. :>
Oh my God! I just wasted an hour and a half of my life watching this film. My husband's friend recorded it on DVD and wants us to see how it turn out. It was sooo hilarious!!! They said its a thriller and a suspenseful movie. What a laugh! Maybe during that time it was scary but heck! All we did the entire show was finding some funny bloopers. If you want a funny movie I recommend you to watch this one. Guarantee to make you laugh your heart out. The story is just about a giant grasshoppers who manage to wipe out the entire population. There are a lot of funny things you'll notice here. The using of big screen to depict that they are really driving down the road with the same cars passing them by and of course the giant grasshoppers. A military who is soo terrified facing a grasshopper, a military that didn't know how to use his gun, and the same military group of people who just died in the war of grasshoppers are seen during the preparation to divert them from the city of Chicago and into the water. Another blooper was when a lot of military guys with guns and tanks who can't seem to kill the grasshoppers but here's the heroine in the movie shooting the grasshopper and it died. A cardboard picture of a building with crawly grasshopper. But hey, what can you expect??? This was done during 1957. :D
See it if only for the brilliant special effect that looks like a grasshopper set on top of a postcard! And of course be sure to see the Mystery Science Theater 3000 way, too, especially for Crow T. Robot's epic 15 act play about Peter Graves at the University of Minnesota.
