Great movie - ever kid's dream! Though it seemed weird to me that an adult woman would be able to relate to basically an 11 year old (??) kid and want to boinkle him?

I think Elizabeth Perkins and Tom Hanks should do sequel to big and have them meet again at a toy convention and they both wish to be young again for a week

Big holds up surprisingly well, given the time in which it was made. The jokes are still funny, and the situation still amusing. But more than anything else, it is Hanks' performance as a child in a man's body that stands out as truly excellent as he portrays Josh's coming to terms with grown-up life.

This is such a classic, that never ceases to make me laugh. Containing a very young Tom Hanks, the film starts out great and finishes great too. Tom Hanks perfectly portrays a teenage kid, and you can't help but cringe at all of his antics. A timeless 80's movie.

pretty good 80s comedy, still as so much appeal 20 years later
after the first hour or so it gets abit sentimental though

What if one morning you woke up and discovered that you had become an adult? Tom Hanks portrays the youngster stuck in an adult's body and does a fine performance.

My dad named my little brother after Josh from the movie. He said that Tom Hanks plays such an amazing role in this movie and he loved the little boy in the movie and if he ever had a boy, which he finally did, he would name him Josh... funny, myself and my little brother are named after people from movies...... well mine came from a TV show.

A good ol movie, with Tom Hanks that is! The movie's a bit long however, but that doesn't mean I hate it.

Susan: I'm not so sure we should do this.
    Josh: Do what?
Susan: Well, I like you, and I want to spend the night with you.
Josh: Do you mean sleep over?
    Susan: Well, yeah.
Josh: OK... but I get to be on top.

PETER: I got it. That?s the guy from Big. Tom Hanks, that?s it. Funny guy, Tom Hanks. Everything he says is a stitch.

    [Cuts to screen]

    TOM HANKS: I have AIDS.

    PETER: [Laughs hysterically]

The stairs in the Mn Science Museum remind me of the toy store scene in this movie... when Fred Savage is playing the floor piano.

Tom Hanks plays the perfect 12 year old!! Seriously, this movie is sad, funny, sweet, scary, and even a bit romantic! This one will be just as good the 10th time, as it was the first!

Tom Hanks is so amazing. Great story. The ending where Tom just says, "I wanna go home" and cries...awesome.

I remember watching this when I was younger , and today it's still a good movie that's truly funny and ages well. Hanks is a versatile actor and one of my favorites.

Pretty good comedy, one of Tom Hank's earlier films. About a young boy who wishes to be big, and wakes up the next morning as an adult.

ohh, the classics. tom hanks' career really hit it big with this movie. it's fun & sweet, and he plays a "kid" adult effortlessly. a great movie based on the simple concept "careful what you wish for".
