Full of silliness you either will or will not be able to appreciate, Bio Zombie is just kind of there. Maybe something in the cultural translation was lost on me, maybe the claustrophobia of an Asian mall did me in or maybe the low budget quality was just too much for me, but I w...( read more)asn't amazed by Bio Zombie. The dubbing's horrible, the effects bad but the ending's great.

This is about mid-level in the Japanese zombie stakes: not as good as Junk or Wild Zero but much better than Stacy. It's funny but Shaun of the Dead would come along a few years later and blow it out of the water.

A bit goofy...a mix of zombie horror with some laughs thrown in to boot..this movie doesnt take itself too seriously..so if you are a fan of the zombie genre..relax and enjoy

I liked it but it's terrible, but very funny.

Crazy Bee and Woody Invincible are two of my favourite characters in a horror film. I mean, just the names alone are enough to put them in the top ten.

The best 90s zombie film! The film starts out hilarious and very 80s-like. It had a real Bill and Ted feel to it. However, the film gets more and more serious and horrific and then ends in a very shocking way. Overall, excellent film.

Funny foreign b-movie horror. Worth watching twice! First in the original Chinese language and the hysterical English subtitles. And again with the wacky English language dub.

I enjoy the hell out of this movie every time I see it. It's funny and I know the zombies don't lok really real but for a low budget it's great. If your a zombie film fan I know you can hang so suck it up and give it a wearl.

There's something so endearing about Hong Kong's sense of humour. This film, whilst no masterpiece, is a great bit of fun.
Almost every character is candidate for the most 2-dimensional character I have ever seen and some of the dialogue is awful, however, I have a sneaking susp...( read more)icion this is due to the dub I watched as opposed the film itself (couldn't get a subtitled copy). Especially as some parts of the dialogue are great and really witty.
It's a very strangely structured film, starting off almost like if Stephen Chow had directed Mallrats and soon turning into a typical straight-to-video zombie film (except it's good) before moving on to a dark ending. But for some reason that works here. Zombie films are often weirdly structured after all.
Overall, it's incredibly enjoyable, but if you can, go for the subtitled option. The two main characters are very likeable and there's some great humour. Also, it's the first film or anything that I've ever seen suggest the notion of human sushi, which is in my opinion something for it to be proud of.

    Personal enjoyment: 7/10
Actual quality as a film: 6/10
