This is one of the best war movies yet!

Best war movie ever. Why??? Because their is no message. It doesn't try to make some big political statement about war. It just presents war as it is. Brutal, confusing, loud, and fast. Josh Hartnett stands out of the cast. He gives a very subtle and understated performance. The rest of the cast is decent even Orlando Bloom. Ewan McGregor is his usual annoying self.
Despite his presence, Black Hawk Down is an instant classic.posted 312 days ago -

Best war movie ever. Story was amazingly told, Rangers and Delta Operators desperately trying to save two downed blackhawk crews. And It wasn't a love story like pearl harbor.

one thing that this movie dosn't show is the combat search and rescue guys that where there but other then that good movie but y'all it is a diffrent mvie when you know some one who was there (my father) well take care great move

GREAT FILM JUST SO COMPELLING EVERYTIME I WATCH WHEN SHUGHART AND GORDON ARE DEFENDING MICHAEL DURANT CRASH SITE YOU KNOW THERE DOOMED BUT A LITTLE BIT OF YOU KEEPS HOPING THEY GONNA BE SAVED VERY SAD THOUGHT PROVOKING FILM.

The team spirit that is shown by the men in this film, and their selflessness for others is touching, not only that but the action is fantastic. Josh hartnet is too weedy and over-sympathetic for me in this film, and he would have really pissed me off, but for his good looks. On the other hand Eric Bana is absolutly fantastic and absolutly gorgeous. Just to top off the brilliant cast my favorite actor ever is also included- the beautiful Tom Hardy. Altogether a cracking movie.
