Nice film, riding on the coattails of Pirates of the Carribean, some very similar plotlines, but of course Blachbeard is a baddie. This looks like a television movie.

MCT:June 5, 2008very accurate depiction and life of Black Beard, Edward Teach. The acting was very well done. Only problems were movie concentrated a lot on the people in the movie not always just Blackbeard.

MCT:July 15, 2007slow-moving, inaccurate (why would a navy ship be manned entirely by officers!?) over-emotional...beautiful scenery though. Although the movie was called "blackbeard",the focus seemed to be on Maynard, which was annoying - i was hoping to see some more on the pirate
