An grim and satisfying tale of the future as seen through the eyes of not only Detective Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), but also, the dangerous Nexus 6 (led by Rutger Hauer, in his starmaking role).

Blade Runner is an extraordinary science fiction film that not only packs in good action and special effects, but a good plot and storyline. Harrison Ford, who by this time was best known for Han Solo and Indiana Jones, is now a police officer named Rick Deckard, also known as th...( read more)e Blade Runner. We are also introduced to characters like Holden, Leon, Roy Batty, and Sean Young as Rachael.

Based upon the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Phillip K. Dick, this film is jam packed with hours of high quality effects and many glorious stunts that will make you ask yourself. How did they do that? Blade Runner is an excellent film, and if you are bored on a Saturday night, I say watch this film, it is very entertaining and a lot of fun.

I saw the D's Cut of this film and visually this movie fucking amazing, the story starts off as very intriguing but it fell a little short for me. Rutger Hauer is so cool doh. I'm determined 2 watch every version of this film but im giving the D cut 3 stars.

Everything about this film is perfect. The acting, the direction, the lighting, the soundtrack.... I don't care which version either, they're all brilliant!

Probably the greatest sci-fi distopian lookin flick made. Really grim yet sooo ice cool. Hauer rules in this, so uneasy so lethal and unpredictable, the score is spooky and touching and the action is cold and realistic. So many details and so many different stories haunt this fil...( read more)m from creation to final cuts which makes it so historic in cinematic history. Love those futuristic police Spinners.

    Blade Runner: International Cut, 82

Personally I liked the narration by Deckard during the film, it gives it a more classic black n white noir detective feel, which its suppose to be like really. The added seconds of gore n blood do add that extra punch too, good version and better without the 'Legend like' unicorn dream sequence in my opinion (which appeared after this cut in the Director's cut in 92, but that was not Scott's actual version, others did it I believe)

The recent final cut is of course the best and most picture perfect version. The few touch up's (unlike Star Wars) actually do improve the film and finish it.

As fascinating as it is complex Ridley Scott's 1982 masterpiece has amazingly stood the test of time and become a standard building block for all Science Fiction films that have followed it. But the real question is, What makes Ridley Scott's Sci-Fi film noir such a classi...( read more)c? Is it's dark, moody atmopshere? Or it's visually breathtaking landscape and portrayal of a dystopia Los Angeles? Or is it both? The answer is yours to decide.

Los Angeles- November, 2019 four replicants have escaped from one of Earth's off world colonies to the Planet's surface in search of a way to extend there short life span. Enter street wise detective Rick Deckard(Harrison Ford) retired from the Blade Runner unit he is called back in by his old boss(M, Emmet Walsh) to track them down one by one and" retire" them. And there the trouble begins.

"Blade Runner" is powerfully prophetic, visually spectacular, dark and moody. It's an amazing look at one man's vision of a dark and smoke clogged future. Ridley Scott has done something most directors dream of doing or attempt to do and fail. he has created an epic Science Fiction film the likes you have never seen before or ever will. Most directors try to create a visually stunning world that will amaze you and deeply immerse you in it's extremely complex story of murder, love and life. All in all Blade Runner is a film experience that you just can't miss or ignore .

Harrison Ford gives one of his best performances as hard nosed Blade Runner Rick Deckard Ford's performance is crucial to keeping this film afloat and also keeping it interesting. The whole film mostly follows Ford around L.A. chasing down the replicants and while that is interesting. Anyone else in the lead would have failed to impress and Ford does impress. Rutger Hauer is fantastic as the leader of the replicants Roy, Hauer gives his all and more to this role and to the film and it pays off amazingly. The cast really gives there all in this film and shine bright.

My favourite sci-fi flick and hasn't dated at all despite being over 25 years old!!!

Brilliant sci-fi. Worthy of it's tag as a masterpiece. Good storyline, amazing visual effects and great acting from the cast.

Definitely up there with "2001: A Space Odyssey" as one of the best science fiction films ever. Harrison Ford, known mainly as the straight leading man/action hero, gave maybe his best performance to date, filling his character with ambiguities and puzzling humanity. The visuals ...( read more)is, of course, top-notch, doing wonders with lights as what "The Third Man" has done with shadows. Aside from being a great sci-fi film,. "Blade Runner" can also be seen as a visual experience alone, and even if you remove the plot, you still have an artistic piece. The one particular sequence I really admire was (SPOILERS!) when Deckard shot Zhora the replicant two times in the back. Her fall and collision through endless glasses was visual poetry at its best.
