I watched this over the past Christmas break. I guess it was a film my mother and aunts watched when they were younger, and they wanted to share it with me (since I'm a vegetarian and into animal rights).
Anyway, despite its corniness I really liked it. I think if I'd seen this when I was younger, I might have become a vegetarian even sooner than I did.
