Silly beyond words, but worth it.

Wonderful idea but after an hour it becomes tiresome and trite.
Also, could've done without watching children being shot on screen. Bad form I say!

Not what I thought it would be, but actually better. A thoughtful yet crude satire on social status and our energy and gas concerns. Yes, some gore to be certain, but it's a comedy foremost with a disarming sense of humor.

It's inspiring to see films like this every once in a while - hyper low-budget triumphs of the indie spirit. Occasionally hilarious and usually entertaining, except for a few kind of boring patches, Blood Car is an entertaining testament to the successes that independent film mak...( read more)ing can produce.

It's one of those movies that makes you want to go out and film your own.

Not for everyone...but should be. For those people will not be enriched, as it were. Basically: A man invents a car engine that runs on human blood....let that sink in. If you don't think that's a great premise that you may hate the effing movie. BUT at the same time you may stil...( read more)l love it. Although this owes alot to gore-comedy pioneers such as Herschell Gordon Lewis, there's a definitely distinction. This film posesses a very unique comedy to it that I would assume is hit or miss. For me, it hit hard. You really get the feeling that this film was meant to be exactly what it was, which is a hilariously strange tale of a man's decent into madness, I guess. The script stays pretty consistant in style, although extremely uncommon, but maybe gets a bit to close to being convoluted at times. As for the direction, there is a zany style throughout, but often times it switches it up, giving you some wild stylistic changes, especially in one sequence that becomes a send-up of Natural Born Killers (1994). Overall there are some flaws, but this film does what a low budget should and knows it's limitations yet is still able to turn it up to 11. Don't go in expecting your normal everyday film, this is made to be a cult classic, and the filmmaker's know it.

Human blood is the first alternative to gas I would try.

Hilarious comedy - pulls out all the stops, including pit stops, which is to say there are no dull patches. The competing vegan and meat stands are classic. Great dialogue; gory, dirty, filthy humor; Anna Chlumsky!

In a near future when gas prices have soared, a kindergarten teacher inadvertently discovers a way to make his car run on human blood.

Amateur film-making at its finest, this film finds a terrific blend of farce and deadpan seriousness.

The dark humor of the film had me laugh...( read more)ing all the time, as did the numerous WTF? moments.

    Recommended.
