While the story is a bit abrupt, and the film quite short, Blood stands out mostly for its incredible artwork. It incorporates two-dimensional artwork into appearing three-dimensional which such astounding fluidity that you'd never realize it was hand-drawn.

At only half the running time of a typical film, Blood manages to pack a good story and nice animation into a small package. While most films and anime about vampires typically fall flat plotwise, this one does not.
