Very violent, very gory. The story could have been more developed.

great movie that was done all on the computer

Rather excellent work from Manga studios. Blood features some dazzling animation, particularly in the parallax scrolling, and has a suprisingly decent American voice cast. The only issue I have is that it is short, very short, most notably as the plot seems to get propelling duri...( read more)ng what turns out to be the last act! Stunning animation and dark, scary settings are this anime horror short's strong points. It's goregous film to watch, though hunting for a plot will generally turn up less than nothing and its "ending" is bound to disappoint. Hopefully a sequel is in the makes--I would like to ...( read more)see how this one wraps up.

While the story is a bit abrupt, and the film quite short, Blood stands out mostly for its incredible artwork. It incorporates two-dimensional artwork into appearing three-dimensional which such astounding fluidity that you'd never realize it was hand-drawn.

Pretty cool idea for a Manga and its pretty entertaining too. However, running around 43 minutes without credits, I really felt that it was way too short. They should have expanded the story more because considering that the movie was so short, I would have liked to see more bac...( read more)kstory on some of the characters or maybe just a little bit of a prologue before hand to get you into it. In this, you're just dropped right into it from the start. It's not that it's hard to get or anything, it was just to short for it's great potential. Still a pretty awesome film and I do recommend it, but the feature is honestly better because it expands on everything which is really what this anime needed to become more than just a fun watch.

Fast paced action with lots of blood and guts and little story. I believe this movie was based on a single incident in the manga, which is why it feels so...truncated, and lacks any real depth of character or plot. All the information you get is that A is hired to kill the rest ...( read more)of the alphabet and is happy to do so. Still, the animation is fantastic and the voice actors have done an admirable job (whether listening to it in Japanese or English)..

It's short with an underdeveloped story, but still nice Manga movie. The caracters have potential and this could have been the intro for a series of movies about Saya.

Too short with an underdeveloped story.

The original Japanese anime that the recent film was based on. I watched this about a year ago but wanted to watch it again as i've seen, and enjoyed, the live action version. Firstly, this is alot shorter, only 45 minutes long. But in that time it manages to cram in plenty of ac...( read more)tion and plot and is just as good, if not a bit better, than the live action film. I'm not really a fan of animated films but this looks and sounds great and is a must see if you enjoyed the recent interpretation.
