For someone to make a film based on a computer game character and actually produce something with worse acting and a more disjointed story is a whole different kind of special. Kudos Mr Boll. Kudos.

OMG what a waste of time. iv wanted to see this film for ages (only because of Kristanna Loken despite being a big lesbo is hot) but i was really really disapointed as it just sucked. the script was rubbish, the acting was rubbish and was just a rubbish film. but to be fair the only reason why i wanted to see this film was Kristanna Loken get naked which was nice. but other than that stay away from this film...

It was absolutely horrible. Horrible acting, horrible direction, even the sex scene was ridiculous. Typical Uwe Boll film, in other words.

Okay... This videogame based movie sucked in so many ways that there's a new definition for the word sucked. BOLLshit.

The worst fight scenes in cinema history are in this movie. You have to see it for yourself but please for the sake of your own health, don't.

The acting... Yes, the acting. I have to wonder, how in hell did Uwe Boll get Ben Kingsley to act in this crapster. If you've liked Kingsleys previous work and want to like him in the future, DO NOT watch this movie. Same thing goes to Michael Madsen fans.

I recommend that no one watches this, unless you want to suffer the consequences. And I promise, myself, now in front of you all, that this was my second and LAST Uwe Boll movie. A true crapsterpiece!

WOW. The acting was sooo BAD! The only one who did a decent job was Michelle R. I didn't believe anything, especially how the blood was pouring out like a fountain. She seemed soo awkward during the fight scenes. Extremely disappointing.

Another pretty bad Uwe Boll film, but not his worst! Had a lot of promise with a strong cast and based on a cool vampire hack and slash game. However this is pretty poor, none of the "stars' give a half decent performance and the fight choreography is very lame compared to most films of today, no energy or passion, very slow. There is a fair bit of blood, a Meat Loaf cameo and half decent CGI and that is it! Stick with Blade!

I actually really enjoyed this movie. The Terminator chick can kick some ass!! There's some fab sequences and loving the story-line, but as Rayne realises... shit happens!! This isn't great, but hey, we love some good fun!

An atrocity. As a video game nerd, I vomited in my mind, simply because all the dry heaving I did produced nothing.

Goddamn you to a pus spewing blood gutted hell Uwe Boll! You completely destroyed something that had awesome potential you douchbag. This can sit right along side you other video game movies youve dragged kicking and screeming to the silver screen.

Now bloodrayne and bloodrayne 2 may not have been THAT greater games, but they had the potential to become fantastic, gothic stylish violent movies. Certainly deserved better than the sheer butchering they got here.

This is really good, although could be better if they'd worked alot better on the stunts b'cus the stunts are so fake and the effects doesnt look real. the casts are very good too and the movie is quite interesting, although with blood spraying everywhere but not to worry, incase u dont like seeing blood, it doesnt look real.

i thought oooh a vampire film i'll watch thet, not having any knowledge of he game. The acting was bad the casting was not right, the characters were emotionless and 2 dimensional, the plot was a mine of pointlessness and the fighting wasn't any better than you would see on daytime TV. dissapointed.

This is the first of the infamous Uwe Boll's movies that I've had the "pleasure" to lay my eyes upon. It's not all Boll's fault, though. Oh no, there's plenty of blame to go around.

Let's start, if we may, with the script. The characters are all cookie-cutter archetypes without any sort of development, aside from the occasional monologue. A good portion of those characters are there simply to move the bare-bones and wholly unoriginal plot along, and that gets really annoying. On top of that, every single word of dialogue sounds like it's been lifted from a prepubescent emo girl's Hellsing fan-fiction. Who's to blame for that? Why, Guinevere Turner, one of the co-screenwriters of American Psycho, that's who! I don't know how much of her script was changed around by Boll for the end product, but I'm sure it wasn't tinkered with that much. Shame on you, Guin. Tsk, tsk, and tsk again.

Who else gave a poor contribution to this dreck? The cast. It's a surprisingly impressive lineup, which makes their performances all the more disappointing. There are only two actors who's performances actually impressed me: Geraldine Chaplin, who was a fortune teller in one scene. And Billy Zane, who played a vampire that was, in the end, not really all that important to the movie.

As for the rest of the cast? They just sucked (no pun intended). Sir Ben Kinsley is a brilliant actor (he's been knighted for Christ's sake!) but his performance as the movie's villain was probably the worst I've seen him do. He was bored, and I could tell. Coming form an actor of his caliber, I shouldn't be able to tell (he's been KNIGHTED for Christ's sake!). Kristina Loken, sexy though she may be, is a wooden actress. It may work for playing a robotic killing machine, but it does not work for playing a half-vampire, all slinky vixen killing machine. On top of her acting range that's on-par with Keanu Reeves', she "acted" with a very unconvincing British accent. Her co-star, the equally sexy and usually more talented Michelle Rodriguez, layed on a thicker, but equally unconvincing, accent. Hearing both ladies deliver their lines in this movie made me want to curb-stomp a baby. Add to that fun bunch: Michael Madsen, probably the most overrated actor of our generation. The only good performance I've seen him turn out was his iconic one in Reservoir Dogs. His performance in this as a Van Helsing-esque vampire slayer didn't change my mind.

And for the spoiled creme-brule on top, we come to Boll. He failed to get the best from his cast, and his ham-fisted directing left us with the god-awful fight scenes. They were all about the geysers of blood, and not enough about making the actual combat leading up to them convincing. Seriously, nobody swings a sword that slowly in a fight and lives to see the light of day!

Is there anything nice I have to say about this movie, some of you may ask? Well...the music was pretty good...and the cinematography, not counting the fight scenes, was really pretty. ...Oh, and Billy Zane and Geraldine Chapman, but I already mentioned them.

Other than that, it was awful. Really...really...awful...

There should be an option of negative stars on here... Probably the worst film I have watched this year...
I think it might be one that Michael Madsen will deny ever having been in as well...
Storyline was thin, to be diplomatic. Nothing that haven't been seen before. Half human and half vampire in search of 3 talismen. Should they fall into the wrong hands, the world is doomed... Sounding familiar yet???

Hopefully everyone is going to the website petition to get 1 million signatures, to stop Uwe Boll from making Video Game movies. Plus you get a free pack of Stride gum if it hits 1 mill.

Wow, this is bad! I didnt believe it could really be as bad as ppl say, so I watched it anyways since Kristanna Loken is so hot. But not even she could save this movie. Everything is wrong with it. Please, believe me and save yourself.

As I said in my In The Name Of The King: A Dung Siege Tale review, Kristanna Loken's hot. But so's a fresh pile of shit. Which is a perfect segue into Bloodrayne.

Bloodrayne is vintage Uwe Boll. And by "vintage", I mean it sucks cock. Not as much cock as In The Name Of The King: A Dung Siege Tale, but just enough cock to distinguish it as a Uwe Boll flick. And you'd think you'd be grateful to see the end of this film. Not true. It ends with an awkward whirlwind demonstration of Uwe Boll's awesome editing skills. Will someone tell me what the FUCK that was about? Nah, I don't care.

I hate all the acting. Also, any time Michael Madsen is in a non-Tarantino film, beware. There are only three sure things in life: death, taxes, and the soaring suck factor of a Michael Madsen non-Tarantino film.

What the heck was Ben Kingsley doing in here? I'd expect this from Madsen and Michelle Rodriguez even, but Ben fucking Kingsley?

As I said earlier, Kristanna Loken is hot. This cannot be said enough. You wanna know how goddamned shitty this movie is? Kristanna Loken has a sex scene here where she pins a dude against some prison bars and humps him topless and standing. Picture how hot that is. THAT DOES NOT SAVE THIS MOVIE.

Gratuitous blood and guts and a brief Kristanna Loken sex scene are the only things you'll stop fast-forwarding for. Other than that, you'll be back at Blockbuster in no time.
